Sally Smith is one of the first individuals to join the Ovation Club. Sally participated in the Ovation Heartwood Preserve focus group hosted by Avamere three years ago. She was impressed with the concept presented by Avamere and was attracted to the location. Sally lives near the Heartwood Preserve development and was excited that her Church and other familiar spots would be near Ovation.
Sally grew up in many different cities as her father moved for his job as a cattle buyer with Armour and Company. Sally and her family lived in Spokane, Portland, San Francisco, Denver and Kansas City.
Sally attended Briarcliff College and received a degree in medical technology. Her first job was with the former Saint Joseph Hospital. She then spent most of her career with Bergan Mercy Medical Center.
Sally and Gene were married for 32 years and Gene was with the postal service serving the Benson business district. Gene passed away in 2013.
Sally is looking forward to her move to Ovation Heartwood Preserve and enjoying the amenities and the location. She will almost be able to walk to her Church Saint Wenceslaus from Ovation. Sally’s precious companion, Eddie, will be joining Sally. Eddie has been part of Sally’s life for the past five years. He is part Yorkie and part Miniature Schnauzer and was a rescue dog. We can’t wait to meet Eddie!
